Sometimes it takes the storms in life to show us how strong we truly are. Maybe this season you aren't sure how you are going to pay your heating bill. Or maybe you lost your husband and are not a single mom with 4 young children. It might even be the frustration of where to go to school this Spring. These are all examples of life's storms. James 1:2-4 says, "Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."
Maybe the smooth route is the easier way to go, but are you testing yourself? By taking the easier route, will you grow?
